American University

Rachel Wolf was born in Boston, Massachusetts, but grew up in Scarsdale, New York. She is a junior at American University and is pursuing a degree in CLEG (Communications, Legal Systems, Economics, and Government). Rachel is proud to be a CAMERA fellow and is excited about her new role at CAMERA. In the past, Rachel has interned in CAMERA’s Boston office, served as a CCAP liaison at American University and this past summer she interned in CAMERA’s Jerusalem office. Rachel has been to Israel three times on a family trip, on Birthright, and on Onward Israel. Rachel loved her summer in Israel and hopes to make Aliyah (move to Israel) as soon as she finishes her undergraduate studies.Rachel’s first interactions with CAMERA were early in life, as her grandparents, David and Maxine Wolf, played a key role in CAMERA’s founding. Rachel first wrote about Israel when she was 8 years old and her passion for Israel grew with age. When she was in middle school and high school she participated in the METNY Proud to be Jewish writing contest, and both times she wrote about Israel. Now that she is in college, Rachel has never been prouder or more honored to stand up for Israel.

Brooklyn College

Hayeem Rudy is from Brooklyn, NY. An incoming senior at Brooklyn College, Hayeem is pursuing a degree in Biology and a double minor in Chemistry and Neuroscience. Hayeem served on Brooklyn College’s Student Government in 2012-2013 as Chairman of Student Activities and is currently a board member of the college’s Israel Club. Hayeem is actively involved with the American Fundraising arm of Magen David Adom (AFMDA) and sits on the Steering Committee of its next-gen outreach project, Heartbeat. He is applying to MD programs this summer.Hayeem traveled to Israel in the summer of 2013 to volunteer as a First Responder with the Israeli national medical service, Magen David Adom. While Hayeem’s deep-seated Zionism stems from his Jewish roots and ancestry, it was this experience that crystallized his resolve to vocalize his support for Israel on campus. Caring for the multi-ethnic population of Jerusalem, Hayeem was privy to an uncensored perspective from which to observe Israeli culture, and he came to admire the progressive values of Israeli society. Upon his return to New York, Hayeem has become an active advocate for Israel and has striven to educate his fellow students on the inspiring truth about Israeli society with respect to the conflict.

Claremont Colleges

Elliott Hamilton is a Newton, Massachusetts native and a senior at Pitzer College in Claremont, California. He majors in Economics, minors in Politics, and holds various positions in student leadership in the Claremont Colleges. Elliott is the President of the CCAP group Claremont Students for Israel (CSI), a Founding Father of the Chi Chi colony of the Alpha Epsilon Pi fraternity, and a staff writer for The Claremont Independent.Elliott has been a Zionist for as long as he could remember, but became a proactive Zionist advocate eight years ago to combat anti-Israel propaganda in his high school Model UN. He believes Israel is a light unto the nations and that it sets an example for democracy and for liberalism throughout the world. Jerusalem remains his favorite place on earth.Elliott has interned for the Zionist Organization of America and for CAMERA. He blogs for The Times of Israel, has been published in various other publications, including The Huffington Post, Truth Revolt, JNS, and The Algemeiner. He is honored to be a CAMERA Fellow, citing it as one of the best accomplishments of his life thus far.

Clark University

Seth Greenwald is a Junior Political Science Major at Clark University in Worcester, Mass. He has always been passionate about pro-Israel politics and showing the truth that the media fails to report, but he truly became engaged actively after visiting the Sderot Media Center on a trip to Israel. Seth’s favorite place in the world is Israel, and he someday hopes to make Aliyah and serve in either the Kishrai Chutz (Foreign Service) or Modiin (intelligence) units in the Israeli army.

At Clark University Seth is on the executive board of CHAI (Clarkies Helping and Advocating for Israel) and has previously served as a David Project Fellow and CJP intern. Seth also serves on the board of Hillel at Clark University.

Concordia University

Bradley Martin is pursuing a Master of Arts in Judaic Studies at Concordia University in Montreal, Canada after previously completing his B.A, with a double major in Specialization History and Judaic Studies. He has been published in a number of academic journals put forth by Concordia University, McGill University, University of Calgary, and the University of Cambridge.

His interest in Israel first sparked at a young age when his father gave him a copy of Myths and Facts: A Guide to the Arab-Israeli Conflict by Mitchell G. Bard. He then sought to learn more about the historical and contemporary situation in Israel and the Middle East, while also engaging in pro-Israel advocacy. Bradley served as Israel Affairs Chairman at Hillel Concordia, is one of the founding members of Campus: Israel and serves as Consultant for Israel on Campus: Concordia.

Cornell University

Reut Baer is a sophomore at Cornell University, majoring in Industrial and Labor Relations with a minor in Feminist, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. Reut was born in Jerusalem, Israel, and was raised in Israel. After moving to the United States at age 11, she continued to strongly identify with the Israeli cause and the need for a safe Jewish state. Reut involved herself with institutions that promoted Israel advocacy, such as summer camp, youth movements, schools, and AIPAC. On campus, she is the VP of Social Programming for the Center for Jewish Living and is involved with the Cornell Forensics Society. She currently holds the position of Chair of Advocacy for the Cornell Israel Public Affairs Committee (CIPAC) and is organizing several educational and advocacy training programs and a variety of speakers on campus.

Florida State University

Stephanie Jablon is a sophomore at Florida State University, studying Communication Science and Disorders in hopes of being a speech pathologist. Stephanie is passionate about working with children with special needs and the State of Israel. She did volunteer work with special needs children all through high school and was a counselor at Camp Kavod, the special needs part of the Boca Raton JCC. It was not until fairly recently that Stephanie discovered her knack for Israel advocacy at the Future Leaders for Israel conference in Boca Raton, Florida.Stephanie has been to Israel three times and firmly believes in the right of the Jewish people to a homeland and in the survival of the only democracy in the Middle East. This is why she chose to become an activist. Stephanie is a member of the student board for Hillel at FSU with the position of Campus Liaison. This past December, she went on an alternative winter break trip with them to the Bahamas and did community service work in Nassau. She is also involved with Noles for Israel as Co-Education Chair. Her talents and hobbies include singing, running, blowing up social media with news updates, and talking with her mouth closed.

Hunter College

Jacob Kessler is a sophomore and Macaulay Honors student at Hunter College, studying Political Science, Public Policy, and the Arabic language.  He decided to become an Israel activist when, on his first day of classes, he experienced students likening Israel’s actions to those of the Assad regime.  From that experience, he realized that Hunter College needed a pro-Israel presence on campus. So he, along with another friend, started Hunter’s first ever pro-Israel group.  Besides advocating on campus, he is also a staff writer for Hunter’s newspaper and writes a weekly article for the opinion section.Jacob has interned for Senator Kirsten Gillibrand and worked on Congressman Steve Israel’s campaign in 2012.  Recently, he completed an internship at the Permanent Mission of Israel to the United Nations, where he worked on economic, social, and environmental development issues. In this capacity, he witnessed firsthand how many countries circumvented talking about their own human rights abuses by solely focusing on Israel’s.  Jacob hopes one day to work for the U.S. State Department, or (if he decides he wants to make money) a global political risk consultancy firm.  Jacob’s favorite place in Israel is Be’er Sheva, where he spent 4 months in high school, and he can’t wait to be a part of an organization which he greatly admires!

Johns Hopkins University

Avital Zenilman is a sophomore majoring in civil engineering at Johns Hopkins University. She is very active in Jewish life and pro-Israel organizations on campus and serves on the board of The Coalition of Hopkins Activists for Israel (CHAI).Israel and Judaism have always been two major aspects in her life. She has visited the Israel ten times as well as Jewish communities in Europe. She is interested in the connection between the destruction of those communities and the creation of the State of Israel. Sderot is one of Tali’s favorite places in Israel. Though many rockets fired from Gaza hit the city, the people do not live in fear nor do they consider moving. Tali has visited the city to do community service and has participated in a Shabbaton with families. The people of Sderot face their enemy every day by living in their homes. Their bravery motivates her to be an activist for Israel.

San Francisco State University

Kailee Jordan is a senior at San Francisco State University. While her major is in Sociology, she also loves to study Journalism, Media, Psychology, and Political Science.After living in Israel her first year in college, she has become dedicated to the education and accurate representation of Israel and its relations with other countries. Her biggest inspirations are Zionism and Israeli history. Kailee believes the factual representation of Israel in the media is the most challenging yet vital asset to Israel’s reputation in the US. Having a passion for the truth, she feels obligated to combatting propaganda and spreading the truth. She plans on using CAMERA as a tool to accomplish this goal and is excited to learn and grow through the experience of being a part of CAMERA!

Simmons College

Allison Moldoff is a junior studying Business with a concentration in Marketing at Simmons College in Boston, MA. Throughout high school and college, Allison has participated in many cultural organizations and movements, including the Anti-Defamation League’s Camp Interfaith, the North American Federation of Temple Youth, the Stand With Us Ambassadors’ Program, and the Simmons College Hillel.After visiting Israel several times, she decided it was important to better understand the Israeli culture and her Jewish heritage by living there for an extended period of time. Last Spring, Allison spent a semester abroad, studying at Tel Aviv University. Her classes taught her a lot about the history of the Jewish State and Zionism. Throughout her study abroad, she realized that she identified very closely with the Zionist movement. Allison is an avid supporter of Israel and is excited to be working with CAMERA to further educate her community on Israel!

Tulane University

Emma Colbran is a sophomore at Tulane University.  She first visited Israel during summer of 2014 and fell in love.  Her favorite place in Israel is the Dead Sea because the view is breathtaking and she had not expected it.  When she returned from Israel to her home in New York she felt she needed to continue to stay involved with Israel.Before her trip to Israel, Emma was involved with different mentoring programs in the dyslexic community.  She is excited to get involved in an area she has not explored much as of yet and knows that being a CAMERA Fellow will be an amazing experience.  Maor Shapira, another current Tulane student who is very involved with Israeli activism, Introduced her to CAMERA.  She is incredibly excited to be able to learn more as she works with CAMERA and share all that she learns with everyone she can.

SUNY Buffalo

Logan Woodward is a third-year student at the University at Buffalo. He is studying History and pursuing a minor in Judaic Studies. Logan is the Vice President and co-founder of UBI, the pro-Israel club on campus. He is also the treasurer of the Jewish Student Union and an Israel intern for Hillel. Logan was born and raised in Syracuse, NY where he attended the Syracuse Hebrew Day School. There his love for Israel was kindled. Since his Syracuse Hebrew Day School days he has been extremely involved with both the Jewish and pro-Israel communities in central and western New York.The unfair portrayal of Israel in the media and the blatant lies being spread about Israel fuel Logan’s activism. His favorite city in Israel is Tzfat and he is a black belt in American kickboxing and karate and soon hopes to take up Krav Maga.

Jeremy Ginsberg is a fourth-year UCSB student who is pursuing a double Bachelor of Arts in History and Global Studies. During his time at UCSB, Jeremy co-founded Keshet, UCSB’s LGBT Jewish organization. He is also a Founding Brother and Founding Vice President of ZBT Gamma XI colony, Vice President of Communication, and a Graphics Design intern at SB Hillel. Currently, Jeremy is president of American Students for Israel UCSB and co-chair of Keshet. Jeremy likes to spend his time with friends, dabble in graphics design. He also enjoys traveling.

Ali Jabick grew up in Westport, Connecticut, and is now a junior at the University of Connecticut. She is a part of the NEAG School of Education’s integrated bachelor’s/master’s program, specializing in elementary education.Ali first visited Israel this past year through Taglit Birthright trip and fell in love. She returned on another group trip called, Israel 2.0 this past summer to continue exploring and learning about Israel, and cannot wait to go back again. Naor Amir was born in Florida to Israeli parents and speaks fluent Hebrew. He’s currently a senior at the University of Florida where he studies Mechanical Engineering. He became President of ISO (Israeli Student Organization) as a sophomore. He helped found the pro-Israel student group at UF called Zionist Gators which engages in pro-Israel advocacy which is a CCAP-supported group with CAMERA.His family lives in Ezorat Eshkol in Southern Israel, and considers it a second home. He got involved with Israel on campus due to the reality he experienced growing up in Southern Israel, where his family has been exposed to daily missile attacks for years.

David Enav is a rising sophomore at the University of Houston majoring in Business. Through Jewish schools and Camp Young Judaea, he grew up with a strong Jewish background. Most of his family lives in Israel, and he speaks Hebrew at a conversational level. After a school trip to Israel at the end of his senior year, he knew that his love for Israel was a passion that he wanted to pursue.In his freshman year of college, David actively participated in Hillel, Speak Up, and the Alpha Epsilon Pi Fraternity. Currently, he is the president of Hillel, co-president of Speak Up, and Rush Chair of AEPi. Though his school has a small Jewish population, David seeks to strengthen the community and help it grow. He aims to strengthen Speak Up on Campus by implementing programs such as discussion groups and reaching out to the non-Jewish community.

University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign

Elana Zelden was born and raised in Chicago, IL. She now attends University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, majoring in Biology and getting a minor in Spanish. She is very involved in her on-campus Israel group, Illini Students Supporting Israel, as well as Hillel, Chabad, and JET.

Elana lived in Jerusalem, Israel for a year and came back to campus loving Israel and ready to get involved in defending it on her college campus. She looks forward to continuing to work with CAMERA to actively and accurately represent the Pro-Israel community on her college campus!

University of Michigan

Lindsay Hurwitz is a sophomore majoring in Communications Studies and minoring in Law, Justice, and Society at the University of Michigan. She is active in Hillel, attending weekly Shabbat dinners there, and is an active member of several pro-Israel clubs. She has joined a Jewish sorority and has become the Public Relations chair of the Jewish-Greek Council. During her freshman year, she helped gather support against SAFE and BDS’s appeal for Michigan to divest from Israel and attended the 7-hour vote with her fellow Zionists.She has also attended the AIPAC conferences in Washington, D.C. a couple of times. Her passion for Israel was kindled during her 2012 trip to Israel with the Diller Teen Fellowship. There she realized the immense importance of the Jewish State and how incredible it is that such a small land can truly bring people of all backgrounds together. She spent a week living with a family in Ashkelon immersed in Israeli culture in addition to a week spent with hundreds of Israeli and American teens, discussing the land of Israel and its history, as well as the intense differences between the daily lives in each country. From that point forward she knew she would give her all to Israel and protect its reputation and right to exist.She is looking forward to spending her year devoted to the proper advocacy and support of Israel and spreading her Zionistic ideals throughout her campus.

University of South Florida

Michael Kalmowicz is a senior majoring in International Relations and History at the University of South Florida. In his freshman year, Michael quickly got involved with Israel advocacy on campus. He joined Hillel, AEPi, and became President of the EMET for Israel group Bulls for Israel. Throughout his last 3 years in college, Michael has traveled on numerous  advocacy trips to Israel and has attended a plentitude of pro-Israel conferences in Washington DC.His connection to Israel stems from his grandfather and his Jewish background. His grandfather, a Holocaust survivor, immediately traveled to Israel after WWII. He fought in Israel’s war for Independence. Michael’s inspiration comes from his grandfather, and the struggles he dealt with in the 1930s and 1940s. It is because of his family history that he believes that current day Israel is the land for the Jewish Nation.

Yeshiva University

Jonathan Razon is a pre-dental sophomore at Yeshiva University in the beautiful Washington Heights. Many people say he is a geek but he prefers to think of himself as fun and exciting. Jonathan became interested in CAMERA after spending a gap year in Israel and seeing the conflict with his own eyes. After taking a Jerusalem-U course, Jonathan could not stand idly by while the media displays falsities and outright propaganda against Israel. His favorite place in Israel is Nahal Katlav, a beautiful hiking trail outside of Jerusalem that highlights the true beauty of Israel. In Jonathan’s opinion, the best way to understand what Israel is truly about is to hike throughout the country and appreciate the land of milk and honey.
