On Tuesday November 13th, KCL Action Palestine staged a protest against invited guest Ambassador Mark Regev, at King’s College London. The KCL Israel Society invited the Israeli Ambassador to the UK to speak, but was forced to reduce the audience to a maximum of 20 attendees as their event was deemed to be “controversial” by the KCL Student Union.

The event, which was kept under the radar to ensure no disruption would occur, was dubiously protested in a well organized manner by KCL Action Palestine and several of their allied societies on campus. It appears that the KCL Student Union was included in that group of protesters,  as their branded logo appeared on one of the protest’s major displays, a large banner commemorating the Palestinians killed during the Great March of Return in Gaza.

After thoroughly researching the names listed on the banner, CAMERA’s Arabic department found that 19 of the names included Palestinians who were directly or indirectly involved with international recognized terrorist organizations, including Hamas, Fatah, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) and Palestinian Islamic Jihad.
