On February 27th, Eagles for Israel at Boston College hosted notable Zionist Kasim Hafeez for a lecture. Hafeez was raised a radical Muslim, and was staunchly anti-Israel. After reading Alan Dershowitz’s “The Case for Israel,” however, Hafeez was exposed to a whole new range of media—media that accurately portrays Israel. He became more and more interested in learning about the country, and about the truth. After visiting Israel and seeing the coexistence between Jews and Arabs there, he changed his tune, becoming a self-proclaimed Zionist. Hafeez’s story is an intriguing one, and he frequently travels to college campuses to tell it.
Eagles for Israel had hoped to educate people about the volume of false anti-Israel propaganda that is being constantly published. Thanks to Hafeez’s compelling story, they did just that. CAMERA liaison Sonia Iosim described the lecture as being “engaging, interesting, and intellectual.”
