35 CAMERA Fellows from across North America, Europe, and Israel will be selected based on their in-depth knowledge of the Arab-Israeli conflict, history of Israel and current events, experience in advocating for Israel on campus, and portfolio of their published work.

Fellows attend our all-expenses-paid Student Leadership Conference in Boston and receive two days of additional customized programming.

CAMERA STAFF VOLUNTEER WITH FUEL FOR TRUTH BOSTON

For seven weeks, CAMERA on Campus staff taught sessions for the Boston chapter of the Zionist Organization of America’s Fuel For Truth Boot Camp program. Fuel For Truth is an Israel advocacy training program for young adults. The program equips participants with the facts, skills, and confidence to stand up for Israel while providing a fun, social space to be part of a community.

CAMERA HOSTS PANEL TO UNCOVER HOSTILITY ON CAMPUS

On January 9th, Director of Campus Programs & Strategic Relationships Hali Haber, West Coast Campus Coordinator Yoni Michanie, Washington University in St. Louis CAMERA Fellow Nate Turk, and Rebekah Katz, president of CAMERA-supported group Swarthmore Students for Israel at Swarthmore College, spoke on a CAMERA panel in Florida titled, “Addressing Rising Hostility on College Campuses.” The event featured keynote speaker Professor Alan Dershowitz with a presentation from CAMERA Executive Director Andrea Levin.

UK CAMPUS ASSOCIATE TAMARA BERENS SPEAKS IN
TEL AVIV ON CAMPUS ANTISEMITISM

On February 10th at CAMERA’s Tel Aviv event “British Antisemitism – It’s Personal: In Politics, On Campus, In Media,” UK Campus Associate Tamara Berens spoke on the institutionalization of antisemitism on British campuses. Other panelists were recent immigrants to Israel, Mark Lewis and Mandy Blumenthal; author/journalist Melanie Phillips, and Hadar Sela of CAMERA’s BBC Watch. Read more here

CAMPUS COORDINATOR YONI MICHANIE SPEAKS ON ‘PAWNS OF INTERNATIONAL JEW HATRED’ AT BERKELEY
On February 12th, Campus Coordinator Yoni Michanie spoke to 40 students. His talk was titled “Pawns of International Jew-Hatred: The Berkeley Professors and Clubs that Propagate Ethnic Racism.” He discussed the relationship between the United Nations and the Palestinian Authority and how the anti-Israel establishment, particularly Students for Justice in Palestine and its founder Hatem Bazian, serve as a megaphone seeking to influence future policy makers.
CAMERA FELLOWS EXPOSE THOSE PERPETUATING THE CONFLICT

CAMERA Fellows work tirelessly to expose the voices on campuses and beyond who proliferate hatred and misinformation.

Following University of Oxford hosting Malaysia’s antisemitic prime minister, University College London CAMERA Fellow Kelly Leibovitch published “Malaysian Prime Minister Invited to Oxford Union after Antisemitic Comments” at the Times of Israel.

Responding to antisemitism on campus, California Polytechnic State University San Luis Obispo CAMERA Fellow Nina Krishel published “Biased Education and the Perpetuation of the Conflict” on our blog.

After the Palestine Solidarity Campaign attempted to infiltrate his event at the University of Nottingham, CAMERA Fellow Joshua Lee published “The Palestinian Solidarity Campaign’s New Offensive on British Jewish Students” in the Jerusalem Post.

An anti-Israel mural has hung on the wall at York University since 2013, contributing to a hostile environment on campus for Jewish students. CAMERA Fellow Shira Ragosin published “York University Mural Constant Reminder Zionist Students Aren’t Welcome” on our blog.

George Washington University CAMERA Fellow Emma Enig urges for anti-discrimination legislation to be passed in “Healing the Wound: Should Anti-Discrimination Legislation be Passed by the Student Senate?” on our blog.

Former New York University CAMERA Fellow Bobby Miller urges students not to support an upcoming BDS resolution in an article he co-authored titled “SGA Should Vote No on the Upcoming BDS Vote.” The piece was published in campus outlet Washington Square News.

CHALLENGING SPEAKERS AND FALSEHOODS

After Palestinian human rights activist Bassem Eid was inaccurately portrayed in his campus paper, CAMERA Fellow Zachary Chambers published “Response to Hillel Lecture isn’t What it Seems” in the Indiana Daily Student.


University of the West of England CAMERA Fellow Max Rubens set the record straight in “Challenging the Narrative on West Bank Housing” at the Times of Israel.
CONFRONTING ANTISEMITISM

University College London CAMERA Fellow Joel Greenbaum took his peers to task over the failed motion to adopt the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance’s (IHRA) definition of antisemitism in  “The IHRA Definition of Antisemitism: Were we Asking too Much?” published in campus outlet Pi Media.

Fed up with antisemitic rhetoric being spewed on his campus and beyond, Rutgers University CAMERA Fellow Joshua Gannon took Linda Sarsour and Jasbir Puar to task in “We Must Confront Antisemitism Directly” in campus outlet The Daily Targum.

Following the Pittsburgh synagogue attack, University of Victoria CAMERA Fellow Misha Yaroslavsky published “Masking Hatred with Kindness” in campus paper The Martlet.

CAMERA-SUPPORTED GROUP SPOTLIGHT

Under the leadership of president Orr Toledano, Tritons for Israel at the University of California, San Diego has maintained a significant and steady attendance rate to all events! Their tabling, registration rates, and engagement with other groups on campus are nothing short of exemplary!

Tritons for Israel has excellent relationships with the Hillel and Chabad on campus, holds consistent general board meetings, and has a well structured board. The group is known for coordinating logistics seamlessly for all of their events!
