We are excited to announce our upcoming tour featuring Israeli speaker Hen Mazzig!  Mazzig made headlines around the world last October when his CAMERA-sponsored event at UCL was targeted by a mob of aggressive anti-Israel protesters. Staying true to CAMERA’s mission, we are not backing down, and are continuing to make Hen’s voice heard on campuses across the East Coast of North America this spring.
Southern Region Campus Coordinator Tatiana Becker Meets with Students in Philadelphia, DC, and Florida
In February, Tatiana met with 11 of the campuses she works with in Philadelphia, DC, and Florida. During her travels, she also attended a Shabbaton in Philadelphia and an ICC of Greater Washington conference in DC. “It was wonderful to meet and discuss the semester plans of all of the CAMERA-supported groups that I oversee. I’ve had an amazing time planning Yom Ha’Atzmaut festivals and educational events with my students for the rest of the year,” she said following her tour.

Two Events to be held as part of “Israeli Apartheid Week” are Canceled in the UK
The UK government’s adoption of the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance’s definition of antisemitism has prompted University College London and Lancashire University to cancel events that were to be held as a part of these Israel hate fests on campus. We applaud these schools for acting accordingly when antisemitic events on campus are identified. Read more about the decisions to cancel these two events here. Resources for responding effectively to IAW events on your campus can be found at our site www.israeliapartheidweek.com.

CAMERA-supported group Harvard Law School Israel Alliance Tables at International Culture Night
Harvard Law School Israel Alliance participated in their school’s annual international culture night. Several dozen countries were represented at the event, which drew hundreds of Harvard Law students and their families. Thanks to CAMERA, Israel was represented and normalized at the group’s table, where they gave out Israeli food, and made students bracelets with their names in Hebrew.
CAMERA Staff Speak on Panels at Mishelanu and Maccabee Task Force Conferences
In February, West Coast Campus Coordinator Hali Haber (pictured left) attended the third National IAC Mishelanu Conference in Los Angeles, where she spoke on a panel titled “What Role Does Israel Advocacy Play”. She discussed with her fellow panelists the different perspectives of various demographics, such as students, Israel Fellows on college campuses, and college graduates that work in Jewish organizations on campus. The relationship of Israel advocacy and Jewish identity was also addressed on this panel.

Midwest Campus Coordinator Katrin Gendova attended the Maccabee Task Force conference in Las Vegas, where she spoke on the Visible Events panel (pictured right). She addressed action plan items designed to have high visibility on campus that reach passersby with a positive pro-Israel message. Katrin received praise following her panel for her contribution to the discussion.
