CAMERA’s National Conference at Harvard Law School Tackles BDS
On December 4th at Harvard Law School, CAMERA’s national conference, “War by Other Means: Israel, BDS and the Campus” was held. CAMERA on Campus brought a distinguished panel of students from across the country, who left conference attendees thoroughly impressed. “The goal of the conference was to learn from professors, students, and others on the ground who know campus realities firsthand,” CAMERA Executive Director Andrea Levin told JNS.org. “Hate Spaces: The Politics of Intolerance on Campus” Film Premieres
CAMERA’s Executive Director Andrea Levin and Campus Coordinator Tatiana-Rose Becker joined Dr. Charles Jacobs, President of Americans for Peace and Tolerance, and Avi Goldwasser, Executive Producer and Director of the film, on a panel in New York following the premiere of the film on November 30th.
FOCUS at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in Full Swing
FOCUS, the first CAMERA-supported group in Israel, has had a busy semester! Beginning with their campus fair (bottom left), to their event featuring David Gurevich (bottom right), to last week’s presentation by former Ambassador Michael Oren (now Deputy Minister of Diplomacy to Israel’s Prime Minister) on UN Resolution 2334 (top), the students continue to succeed under the leadership of International Campus Director Aviva Slomich out of Jerusalem.
Indian-Israeli Dr. Maina Singh Speaks to Students at NYU
On December 1st, Dr. Maina Singh, author of the book “Being Indian, Being Israeli: Migration, Ethnicity and Gender in the Jewish Homeland” came to speak to CAMERA-supported group Realize Israel at NYU and Indian students campus group NYU Shruti on what it means to be an Indian Jew.
